Welcome to Gemma Milly!
Where do I start? I design wedding stationery because I love being part of one of the most special days in your life, and helping to bring your dreams and vision for the day to life through carefully crafted design and thoughtful detailing. Designing beautiful stationery that you can keep forever and which reminds you of that special day, long after the I do’s and first dance, gives me a huge sense of joy.
I’ve been in the design industry for 12 years and started my business 7 years ago. My vision was simple; to put the soul back into the design process, and create paper goods that say more than words ever could about the magic of two people being joined together. For me it’s all about the little details and expressing what makes the two of you unique.
Having recently got married myself I know how many important decisions you have to make. That’s why I make it my priority to ensure that choosing and designing your stationery is an utterly joyful experience.
My signature style marries loose, dreamy watercolours with romantic, flowing calligraphy and hand lettering. I love the feel of handmade papers and letterpress, and sourcing interesting materials and finishes to incorporate into your wedding stationery is one of my favourite parts of the job.
Based in Dorset, not far from both the beach and countryside, I am constantly inspired by the sparkle of the ocean and the stillness of nature & ever-changing seasons. I work from my Studio in the garden with my small team of super organised and creative Assistants, Lucy & Anna. Married to an artisan calligraphy pen maker (Tom of Tom’s Studio) and mama to our little girl Elodie, I have to say that I feel very blessed. I try to live life to the full and put my all in to my work and family life.

It is such a pity that [now I’m married] we can not design any more wedding things together. I need to marry Ralph again so we can design a new stationery set….! I’d like to thank you very much for your effort, your 1000’s of emails ( maybe 2000…?) and your time for designing all our wedding papeterie. If we plan another event I will contact you again! :-)
We absolutely ADORE all of the stationery, it’s just stunning. Everything is perfect, you have captured what we had wished for. To think we have gone from just telling you our ideas to them being created in wonderful. It shall all be treasured. I’m going to frame the invite, it is totally worthy of going on our walls. Can’t thank you enough, I am so excited to start planning with you for the other stationery bits now, if these are anything to go by it’s going to be stunning. Massive thank you xxx
We just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your work on the invitations and seating plan. All the stationery was stunning and it was so nice to have such unique invitations for our wedding - lots of our guests have told us that they are the best invites that they have ever received! The seating plan was beautiful - a great souvenir - and a real talking point at the wedding!
Gemma, all of your work was lovely, from the beginning to the end, and everything that you did helped to realise J&J’s vision of their dream wedding. It was all perfect.
Thank you so much for your talent and your attention to detail – I shall not hesitate to recommend you to anyone in the market for a creative and tolerant stationer!!!
The invitations are absolutely gorgeous, I’m so so pleased with them! Not just the design and artistry, but the printed finish and the envelopes too. Spot on, exactly what I wanted. A very happy customer. Thank you so much.
I received the invites and they are stunning. I love them! You are really very talented.
